Nest thermostat

I had the temperature set at 70 and my daughter used the oven yesterday, so I dropped it to 68. Well, initially the message was, in 2 1/2 hours it would reach 68. Now it’s 24 hours later and the temperature in the house is now 80 and the thermostat is set to 67!! It’s running nonstop and the air coming out of the vents is luke warm. What should I do? Ps. This is my daughter’s house and she has the app etc, I’m just winging it.

Hi SickofbeingHOT,

Sorry to hear about the situation that you are experiencing with your Nest thermostat. It sounds like your Nest thermostat might be experiencing a heating delay, which can be frustrating. This often happens due to power fluctuations or inefficiencies in your HVAC system.

Here are a couple of things you can try:

Check your power: Make sure your thermostat and HVAC system are receiving consistent power.

Consider your HVAC system: If your system is older or undersized for your home, it might take longer to reach the desired temperature.
If these steps don't resolve the issue, our support team can offer further assistance. You can reach them directly here: Contact Us.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

Best regards,
