Hi Nest Community,
I have two Nest thermostats at home, one for my gas furnace, and one for my AC system. The Nest website says that the Nest Thermostats are working together when you have several in your home, and was wondering if this was actually the case. Can for example one thermostat use the other one as a temp. sensor, to ensure that temperature is at the right setting everywhere? I am saying this was in general, it is much colder on the first floor (the heating thermostat being on the ground floor in the dining room, and the second thermostat being upstairs).
Thank you
Julien

work together as in the system (house)
but individually on each zone/ducting.
so not directly,
but if you are in America, there is the nest sensor you can buy that will link to the thermostat to do what you want it to do though this doesnt work in the UK, ive tried.

Thanks RnAElec. Unfortunately, the Temp Sensor is only compatible with the Nest Learning Thermostat, and not the Nest Thermostat. it should be fairly easy to implement that one thermostat could be connected to the other through the wifi and act as a sensor, or to make the sensor compatible with the Nest Thermostat.
Cheers

Hi Jake, no need of more help. Seems Nest thermostats in a same home are not actually not working together or communicating. Would be a nice feature to have though.
Best
