Nest thinks it’s working fine, but no hot water

My Nest doesn’t seem to think/report that there is a problem - no reported communication issues or faults - but the hot water signals are not switching my boiler on. Heating signals will, but not hot water. When I press the override button on the receiver unit, it works (both hot water and heating, of course), but not hot water. Very strange. Any ideas?

Replying to mention same issue. Have searched for similar posts with no luck. Did you resolve this? 

Some suggest that hw only successfully triggers if heating is on - this can’t be true for us because it’s been fine all summer til now. 

Others have reported that “it just started working”. Can’t see any actual solutions.
