Nest turns heating on at 4.00 in morning even though no schedule is set at that time!

New install 1 week ago-  only schedule is set from 17.45 to 21.30 each day set to 16 degrees. Following all turned off;

Auto schedule off

True radiant off

Home/away off

other settings

leaf is set ready

eco temp set to 7.5

safety temp 3

Heating is firing up about 4 in the morning when temperatures drop so I can only turn off by Turing down the temperature to say 10 degrees. During the day when wanting heating on outside of the schedule have just been activating via app or dial which is fine, but seems like unit is not reverting back to the off schedule fully even though goes off at 21.30 as programmed. Doing my head in having to get up and turn right way down.

Hi Nigel

I may have had the same issue as you which turned out to be my misunderstanding of how to set a schedule. I have just posted my solution to this in a new thread.

Mike

Thanks - I was going to post on this again, as unfortunately same problem. So the schedule is now set from 17.45 (16 degrees) to 21.30 (15 degrees) Dias the suggestion I reduced the end temperature. During the evening  I have had to override the schedule as it’s been colder, so that fine say comes on 16.00 and set to around 16 or 17, heat comes on fine then the set schedule turns off as should at 21.30.
The boiler is still firing up for some reason at 4 in the morning! Since changing the end temperature on the schedule after unit I have been Turing the nest right the way down to about 10 degrees so it won’t fire up at 4 and wake the house up. Last night I forgot to do this and it fired up, the internal temp was 16 degrees. So the nest for some reason wants to heat up even though no schedule is set and it is turning off at 21.30, it’s like it has a command to do this! Really a pain and a waste of money heating for no reason. Can someone please provide a fix or tell me what I have done wrong!

Just checking  -have you switched both auto-schedule and "true radiant" off in settings? This is something other people recommended when I first started with this issue. I haven't turned them back on again.

Oh - I see in your original post that you have. sorry
