Nest wiring question

shalom5752

Hi everyone,

I've just purchased a nest thermostat.

I am not sure exactly how to wire it.  My old thermostat has three wires: white, green, and red.  White goes to W, red goes to RH, and green goes to W2.

Does anyone know where I connect the green on the new thermostat?  I have six options: Y, C, W, G, R, *OB

Thank you in advance for your time!

Can you post a picture of the original thermostat's wiring here?

Look in the furnace/air handler to see what the thermostat wires are connected to and post a picture of that here too.

Hello @shalom5752

Thanks for your response and the information you provide us. Let's find a solution.

To provide you with the correct answer for this situation, let me ask about the type of  your HVAC system.

This is because you have a Nest Thermostat, and with this information we can determine the correct wiring configuration for your system.

Feel free to keep us posting; I'm happy to help you.

Douglas.
