Just replaced two 1st gen thermostats with the new 4th gen ones. Everything works fine. In the Google Home app I can see the two new thermostats and control them. But when I check them in Chrome at home.nest.com, these two show up as "Offline". All the others (3rd gens) show up as online.
I've checked the new thermostats - they show that they are definitely connected to the WiFi, but still the web browser shows them offline. I've restarted them. No change.
Any idea what's happening here?

So I've just figured out that the 4th Gen Thermostats can be accessed only in the Google Home App, but not in the Nest App (where they appear as "Offline"). Okay, so I'll just use the Google Home app, but I also just discovered that I cannot control the schedules of the 3rd Gen Thermostats in the Google Home app, only in the Nest App. So I guess I need both apps to control my Nest Thermostats.
Am I missing something, or is this really dumb?

Hi @RogerBarre,
Thanks for posting in the community forum. I understand you'd like to control the schedule for your Nest Learning Thermostat (3rd gen) in the Google Home app because it's working fine in the Nest app. Also, I'm glad to hear you found some information about why the Nest Learning Thermostat (4th gen) isn't working in the Nest app or the Nest website. No worries, I'm here to help.
Regarding your concern, we are still in the migration process; that's why some features are not available in the Google Home app yet. Currently, to control or edit your Nest Learning Thermostat (3rd gen) schedules, you can do it through the Nest app or directly access the settings on your thermostat itself. For more information about how to control your Nest Learning Thermostat schedules, please check out the following article: Temperature schedules for the Nest Learning Thermostat.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Regards,
Jonathan
