I was using the regular Nest thermostat, but had my a/c system replaced with a new system using a 2 stage compressor, so the old thermostat wouldn't work. The new Learning thermostat works great, but I do not want it to change settings on me automatically. If I want to change a setting, I'll change it. However, it has other ideas and keeps messing with my settings.
I set "Auto-Schedule" to off. It sure sounds like that's what controls this issue, but it hasn't helped. A couple of times a day I have to reset the thermostat to the temp I want, not the temp it's set by itself. Am I missing some setting, or is it just going to do this regardless of what I want?

Try these steps:
If you also want to stop it adjusting based on home/away assist and the auto-schedule features, select the settings icon in the upper right and turn off the Home/Away Assist and Auto-Schedule options.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll give them a try. I had already turned off the home/away and auto schedule options, but not the eco option. I'll give it a day and report back.
