New Nest Pro Thermostat keeps on going offline

I see posts on this going back to 2021 but have not seen any proper solutions

 

Yes I've checked the battery.  It is fine (3.9)

Yes I've reset the thermostat - it works for 5 mins & then goes offline again

Yes, I've reset the Nest App.  That, too, works for 2 mins & then it goes offline again

 

It has been working fine since installation around 2 weeks ago and now has this problem.

 

What do I do?

I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble with this. No worries, we'll check this out. Could you tell us the type of Nest thermostat you have? Does the thermostat display show any messages? Can your thermostat see other Wi-Fi networks nearby? Do you only have one Wi-Fi network, or are there others? If yes, do any of them end in _ext? Are you trying to connect to the 2.4 GHz or the 5 GHz network? How far away is the thermostat from the router? Also, what country are you located in?
