New Nest thermostat not showing up on Google Home App

Hi,

My new Nest thermostat has been set up and is working perfectly fine, thru the old Nest App. However, when I try to get that integrated into the Google Home app. it is not showing up. I tried to find it in the "Works with Google" link - and Nest doesnt even show up in that list. am I missing anything here ? Appreciate the help.

Thanks for posting and sorry for the delay. 

A few questions — what devices do you have on your Google Home app that you want to integrate your Nest devices to? Are you signed into your Google Home app using the same email address you're using to sign into your Nest app? Also, are you signing into your Nest app using the "Sign in with Google" option or the ''Sign in with Nest" one?

Tell me more so I can dig deeper into this.

Yes I am logged in with the same google account on both devices. On nest I am using sign in with Google. right now only the Google Nest Hub is showing up - nothing else.

Sorry for the delay but thanks for these added details. If you try signing into your Nest app with the Sign in with Nest option, do you see your Nest thermostat?

I am so sorry for the late response ... I had Geek Squad support look into it (as they were taking care of something else at my place) and he was able to replicate some steps on his Android phone and the Nest App would show up - however, on my iphone, the nest app is not showing up when searched in Google Home app. I just gave up on it for now ... can live with using the Nest app directly as it is working perfectly fine. 

Also to answer the previous query, the only option I have is to sign in with my Google account (even on my Nest app).

Hi Areev333,

Thanks for letting us know. Since the migration of Nest to Google, you can no longer link your Nest account to the Google Home since it's supposed to have direct access to your Nest devices. You can click on this link to learn more about this.

I am so sorry I didnt update here as I was traveling ... last week, I just rest all the devices and re-registered my account (basically started from scratch) and it worked 🙂 - thanks again for all the support here.
