New thermostat installation

I'm replacing an old thermostat with the new 3 rd generation , on the set up "add new product "  when I get to enter the 7 digit entry key -I get the key from the thermostat , enter it correctly and the app keeps saying "Check the entry key and try again" '.

So I cannot complete the set up ??

Which App are you using? Google Home or the Nest App?

The Nest Learning Thermostat, 3rd Gen, is set up using the Nest App.

Thank you for your reply , when I selected a different product it accepted the code and I was able to successfully complete the installation.
