I just arrived at our second home with a Version 3 Thermostat. As we are now in heating season, I wanted to adjust the schedule. I made the adjustments, but it did not take. In other words, the thermostat is not following the schedule. I read all the help posts and tried to adjust the settings, but that did not work. I then went in and did a factory reset. After the reset, I turned Home/Away Assist to off. Then, in NEST Sense I turned Auto - Schedule option to off as well.
Today is a Saturday, so using the Nest App, I added a new schedule item for Saturday at 7:15 am for heat at 71 and cool at 80. It is now 2:15pm, so this setting should be active. Inside temperature is currently reading 69, but it is not calling for heat to get to the scheduled temperature of 71. I went to the Nest thermostat device itself and checked the schedule there and it is says exactly as the app says, so there is no connectivity issue. Both the app and thermostat are showing the heat at 68 and cool at 75, rather than the scheduled heat of designation of 71 and cool of 80.
Why is the app and thermostat not following the manual schedule? How can I get the thermostat to respect the schedule I set up?
For some reason, despite the schedule being set for 71, the app and the thermostat thinks the heat setting is 68.

Hi Hhipal,
Thanks for reaching out to the community! I'm sorry to hear that your Nest Learning Thermostat isn’t following your schedule set at 71 for heat and 80 for cooling. Instead, both the thermostat and the Nest app are showing the heat at 68 and the cool at 75. I'm here to help!
I also appreciate all the workarounds already performed. To better investigate the inconvenience, I’d like to ask the following:
In the meantime, I suggest the following steps:
Let me know how it goes.
