I installed a new Nest thermostat . When I try to add a new device to the app, it asks for an Entry Key, also the app does not list a Nest Thermostat only the 2 other versions. The Nest Thermostat does not have an available Nest icon in Settings to get the key. Scanning the QR code sends me to Google Home which the device has already been added.

@Mikado what model of the Nest thermostat are you installing? Nest Learning thermostat, Nest E Learning thermostat, or basic Nest Thermostat.

The box has Nest Thermostat on it, so I would say basic

The basic Nest Thermostat only works with Google Home App. The Google Nest Learning Thermostats work with the Nest App.

Hello... My app was working until about a month ago when I was in a different state. At that point, when I open the app, the home thermostat didn't show up. So when I got to the house, I scanned the code in the thermostat to have it walk me through. When I got to key entry, it said it was already connected. So is there something I am missing? Thank you!

As long as you use the same Nest Login credentials your phone will link with your Google Nest Learning Thermostat your app will show you the home and thermostat. Make sure you are using the same login email and password that was used when you installed the thermostat.
