Ugh!

I know I setup the wiring on both the thermostat and c-wire correctly and I’m getting a no-power code. Ugh!

I’m ready to give up….

HI Sparklerise,

Thanks for reaching out and we're sorry for the delay.

I know it is not a good feeling getting this message on our thermostat. Here's a couple of things we could check to get this resolved:

  • On your Nest Thermostat, go to Settings Nest settings icon and then Equipment Nest Thermostat equipment and then Wiring info. Check for wires that appear as grey. This means that the wire is not sending voltage to your thermostat. Some wires, like a C or R wire, need to send voltage to keep your thermostat powered on.
  • Make sure that switches and fuse are working on your HVAC system.
  • Re-strip the wire to reveal fresh copper.

Check out this link for more information that helps with this code.

Best regards,

Ryan
