Hi,
I’ve just set up our Nest learning thermostat. I want to give my husband access to control it too (and maybe our nanny). He’s not a Google user. It looks like I need to add him as a family member in the Home app in order to give him access to the thermostat in the Nest app, however, when I go to do this it says you can only add Google users.
I can’t imagine there isn’t a workaround for this….
please help!
Many thanks

I'm assuming that by "not a google user" you mean that your husband is an IOS user. In that case, I believe your husband is going to have install the Google home app on his IOS device, and then to to setup the app he will have to create a Google account anyway. It's that google account that you'll have to send the invite to.

Thank you, I mean he doesn’t have a gmail account. So from what you’re saying he’ll need to create a gmail account to be able to have access to the Nest thermostat app?

That is correct.
