Not turning on

Hello, I replaced my thremostat to NLT and we tried installing it a few weeks ago but it's not turning on. So we reinstalled our old thermostat so we have ventilation. We tried installing it again today and still the same. We just followed the same wires we have, R, W, Y, C and G.

Need help if we need to do anything before I return it back to the store.

Thanks.

I had a similar problem years ago when I installed my first nest. The wire connections on the furnace control board had 2 wires crossed.  Just make sure the wire colors match on the Nest and furnace for each connection.

I should add, typically R=Red, C=Blue, G=Green (Fan), W=White (Heat) and Y=Yellow (Cooling). R and C cannot be crossed.

Never trust the wire colors as there is no standard.

Can you post a picture of the original thermostat wiring and another of how you currently wired it?

Hi all, here are the photos. @Patrick_Caezza.

I'll check the control board as well. @Dave991

@Halbrand

Your wiring looks good, except you need to move the white wire from W1 to W2/AUX and set it as AUX heat. The red wire needs to move from Rh to Rc.
