One nest will no longer connect to wifi

I have a thermostat downstairs and upstairs.  The one upstairs tells me that it can connect to my wifi anymore.  The one downstairs works just fine.  There is no change to the wifi either.  I've tried to problem solving, but have failed.  Can somebody help me out please!

Hi @Kinsey,

Thank you for posting in the community. I'm sorry to hear that your upstairs thermostat indicates it can no longer connect to the Wi-Fi while the downstairs thermostat is working as expected. I appreciate the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far. Don't worry, help is here.

To gather the necessary information and provide the best assistance, please answer the following questions:

  • What type of Nest thermostat do you have? The following article could be helpful: How to tell which Nest thermostat you have.
  • Does the Nest thermostat have a strong internet connection?
  • Is there an error code on the Nest thermostat display when connecting it to the internet?
  • Can your Nest thermostat find or detect networks?
  • Could you describe the troubleshooting steps you've taken so far?

In the meantime, let's check for interference. Identify any devices that might be interfering with your Wi-Fi signal (like cordless phones or microwaves) and try moving them or changing your Wi-Fi channel. You can find more information here: Troubleshoot wireless interference.

I'll be waiting for your reply.

Best regards.

Derick.
