I can disable seasonal savings but it seems to imply it will come back next season.  We have (had) our settings working when seasonal savings adjusted our settings and made our house uncomfortable to be in.  We honestly originally thought we had a problem with our AC unit and were trying to get it fixed when we realized it was Nest automatically changing settings.  The best part of using a nest was that we din't need to pay any attention to the unit, it just worked.  Before moving on to alternatives, I want to see if there is a way to restore the prior behavior and permanently stop seasonal savings from activating.

Seconded.  Allow default opt-out of seasonal savings, and permanency.

Our seasonal setting has overridden our settings and we cannot get the house to cool down. It is a huge heat wave across the US and we live in S. FL...76˚ is not comfortable. Our animals and children are struggling. 76˚ is too high to cool down quickly enough with the heat and the intensity of the sun down here. Can Nest please remove this option? We have reset our thermostat and cleared all our settings. Its almost 11pm and its 75˚ and so uncomfortable because our humidity level is 66%. This is not right.

Hey kbturner22,

I understand where you're coming from and I'm sorry if you feel that way. You should be able to manually override Seasonal Savings temperature if you're uncomfortable. Also, you can turn it off at any time. Please check this guide for more information: https://bit.ly/3FJlpGv

Hope this helps.

Hey there,

Checking back in — how's your thermostat now? Have you had the chance to check on the link I've provided above?
