The battery on my Nest Learning Thermostat kept dying. I kept having to disconnect it and recharge it using the USB port and eventually it wouldn’t hold a charge for more than a week. It was still under warranty and Google sent me a replacement after the tech support tried a bunch of troubleshooting steps over the phone.
The battery on the replacement one was fairly dead upon arrival and I had to charge it using the USB port. Now, when I try to attach it to the base, I get the following message:
”Please remove the thermostat from its base, then reattach it.”
I removed it and reattached it and got the following message:
”Please remove the thermostat from its base, then reattach it.”
I removed it and reattached it and got the following message:
”Please remove the thermostat from its base, then reattach it.”
You get the idea.
What is wrong with it?
I had to put the old one back to make sure I have a thermostat that somewhat works. Do I have to call tech support again and ask for another replacement?
I have about a week to resolve this because Google will charge my credit card for the replacement that isn’t working if I don’t ship them my old one.
Thanks for reading and I look forward to any advice.
