I just installed the Power Connector on a heat-only zone valve linked on two wires only to Rh and W1 on 4th gen learning Nest thermostat. The Nest doesn't show the C pin as active when checked on the phone app for its Wiring, not even if I turn the heating to off. There is no Power Connector appearing on "equipement" either. The physical wiring at the valve look all good, and the fact that the heating is going on/off as necessary suggests the Power Connector was wired well. Nevertheless, it doesn't look like the C connection makes its way to the Nest themostat, and the thermostat may not charge its battery. I just bought the Power Connector, but could be that it was an older version that's not compatible to Nest 4th gen? Anybody knows any app test to try to detect the Power Connector? Any idea what else to do please?

Just found out the solution, which was not obvious at all.

So, there is no way to tell if Power Connector is detected and if the thermostat is charging from the Google Home app. This, and the Power test, can only be seen on the Nest thermostat itself, not on the app. It's unfortunate that this info is not clearly stated anywhere.

Hi iLiviu,
Thanks for reaching out to the community. I'm sorry to hear your Nest Learning Thermostat 4th gen is not detecting the Power Connector. I appreciate your time doing a Power Test on the Nest Thermostat 4th gen.
I would like to know if you still need help with your Nest Learning Thermostat 4th gen detecting the Nest Power Connector.
I'll look forward to your response.
