Preheat time

Hi All

I have a generation 2 Nest Learning Thermostat what setting should the Pre Heat be set on. I  want my heating to be on when I get up so I  have set it to 21°c for 9am but when I got up it was already at 21°c at 8 am. The Pre Heat was set on 5 hours which is the default setting, does this need changing.

Thanks for reaching out about the pre-heating schedule. I'd love to help.

If the Max Duration is set to 0 hours, the pre-conditioning will start within the last hour before a morning set point. Example: schedule a setpoint of 21°C at 09:00 with the max duration set to 0, and the system will come on after 08:00, depending on time-to-temperature calculations.
