Preheating with Early-On and auto schedule off

Hello,

I am in an area with TOU rates and I am trying to use my Heat pump to only run during times electricity is cheaper. I have a manually set schedule that matches my rates, but lately have noticed that it will turn on and preheat before the time I have set. I have turned off Early-On and Auto Schedule and it is still doing preheating. How can I fix this?

To be sure, could you please tell us the type of HVAC system you have? If you have a heat pump, you might also need to adjust the heat pump balance settings. Please check out this article with additional information on how it works and let us know if you have more questions.
