So here’s an interesting request… I’m setting up an air conditioning system and I want to have physical control for them. Something just like the nest thermostat. But, I don’t need it to connect to any device. I just need to to be a nest device, with Wi-Fi, with all of the usual functions (heat, cooling, eco, sensing, etc).
Why you ask? Well, basically i would connect this device to my home server, and by reading its state changes I would create rules to control my air conditioning system.
Makes sense?

Hi PedroLiberal,
Thanks for sharing an idea for a feature that would make the product more useful for you. I can actually go ahead and pass your comments along to our internal teams in the form of a feature request. Within the Google Home app, you can actually leave feedback as well and I would invite you to do so. Aside from passing that info along to our teams, is there anything else I could help you with?
Thanks,
Jeff

I’d say no, that was really the whole of the message. It a niche product for sure but an interesting proposition for sure if google home starts to become an automation suite 🙂

Sounds good, PedroLiberal.
I do like the forward thinking! Even if it's niche, it's still valuable feedback for our teams. We always like to know not only how customers currently use the products but also how many more ways they can see them being useful.
Thanks,
Jeff
