I have a Honeywell wifi 6-wired thermostat ( w/ Blue, Red, Yellow, orange, Green, and White wires). I am trying to confirm if I can replace this with a Google Nest Thermostat. When I checked the online compatibility guide the answer wasn't clear. I have a heat pump which I assume is the orange wire and here's how each wire is attached currently:
Blue connected to "C" terminal
Red connected to "R" terminal
Orange connected to " W-O/B" terminal
Yellow connected to "Y" terminal
Green connected to "G" terminal
White connected to "W2/aux/ E" terminal
Thanks!

Hello tmofo,
Thanks for reaching out! It looks like you've got a Honeywell thermostat with six wires, and you're considering replacing it with a Nest Thermostat. Based on the wiring configuration you provided, here's how you can map your current connections to the Nest Thermostat:
Also, it's always a good idea to turn off the power to your HVAC system before making any changes. If you're unsure or have any doubts, consulting with a professional HVAC technician is recommended to ensure a smooth installation.
