Remote control of Nest

I recently changed my phone to a newer model but still a Samsung Android. I can still control my Nest heating thermostat remotely with my old phone but not with my new phone. The control function has not migrated to my new phone, despite everything Ive tried. Any suggestions ?

All you need to do is install the appropriate app (Google Home or Nest App) and log in to your account, just as you would on your old phone. There is nothing to set up after that.
