Return policy

I read a previous post about somebody filing a complaint with the better business bureau. My nest learning thermometer can't even see my Wi-Fi system. I have four cameras two doorbells and four nest protects. They want to hold a $180 on my credit card to send me a warrantied Nest thermostat. The other option is I could disconnect my thermostat and send it to them first providing no heating control in my home.

Hello Robertx1x,

We appreciate you reaching out here in the Google Nest Community about our return policy. I'd be happy to take a look into this for you.

Our warranty policy is designed to protect our customers from unexpected costs, and we understand that it can be frustrating when you're not able to return the thermostat. With this, an authorization hold is not a charge, so funds will not be deducted, and if you get charged for the replacement, a refund will be processed as soon as we receive the faulty unit.

I'm curious how the conversation went. Can I ask for your support ID number from your previous contact with us?

Regards,
Mark
