Rush Hour Rewards - Themostat Turned Off Completely

The other day, when a rush hour started, instead of just adjusting the temperature, it actually turned off the thermostat completely, and this was documented in the activity log.  This isn't supposed to happen.  Why did you do this?

That's weird, I received a reply to this post today asking for more information, but now that reply is gone.  Was that a fake reply?

To get a better understanding of the situation, please help me out by answering the following questions:

  • What type of Nest Thermostat do you have?
  • When was the Nest Thermostat installed?
  • What other strange symptoms have you experienced since the problem started?
  • Have you done troubleshooting steps? If so, can you list them?
  • Can you please send me a picture of the wiring of the Nest Thermostat?

Any additional details you can provide will be helpful.

  • What type of Nest Thermostat do you have? Nest Thermostat bought from Pepco
  • When was the Nest Thermostat installed? April 2021
  • What other strange symptoms have you experienced since the problem started? None - and this event was clearly related to the Rush Hour, it happened just after the rush hour started, according to the logs
  • Have you done troubleshooting steps? If so, can you list them?  This is not applicable since this was clearly related to the Rush Hour starting
  • Can you please send me a picture of the wiring of the Nest Thermostat?  This is not relevant since the thermostat is functioning correctly and this was a one-off incident

I contacted Google Nest support about this as I have asked to be removed from Rush Hour Rewards since, in addition to this incident, I have not been receiving any rewards, and I have a call back scheduled with them.

Thanks for your reply. I understand your thermostat turned off after the Rush Hours started and that you already contacted Google Nest Support and have a call back scheduled with them to cancel the Rush Hours.
