Rush hour event for 18 hours???

I got an email saying that a rush hour event would start at 8pm tonight. When I got home at 530pm my thermostat said it was already in rush hour until noon tomorrow!!!

According to the email I shouldn’t even be in rush hour right now, but according to my thermostat I’m in rush hour for another 18 hours. Which is it?

EDIT: the rush hour ended by itself at 7pm.
