Schedule not turning the heating off.

I have 2 nests 1 for the upstairs zone and 1 for downstairs. The heating comes on with the schedules but only goes off manually. I have Home/Away off, Eco off, and Auto-Schedule off. I've deleted and created the schedule. I have done a factory reset then set the new schedule using the device and not the app. It still doesn't work and when i forget to turn it off my heating is on for hours. I purchased the nests to save me money as i thought they would help be more efficient. I feel its going to cost me a fortune when i get my next bill.  What should I do?

Hi Murphy72024,

Thanks for reaching out and for being a step ahead of us. I'd like to take a closer look at it. A few questions: what type of Nest Thermostat do you have? In what country are you located? Do you hear any strange noise in your HVAC system? Do you see any messages or codes on your thermostat screen or in the app?

Check your thermostat’s Energy History for more information about the thermostat's previous-day activity. This step is useful if you want to know what causes the unusual thermostat activation.

Regards,

Jenelyn

Hi Jenelyn,

The thermostats i have are 3rd generation learning.

I'm in the UK

There isn't a noise but i don't have a HVAC system the nest are connected to a combination boiler.

There isn't any codes showing on the app or nests.

The thermostat isn't activating unusually it just doesn't turn off on its own.

Regards,

Gareth
