Schedule temperature for 10 days out

I am leaving for vacation and will be gone for more than a week.  I'd like to be able to set the thermostat to turn back up in time for the home to be warm when I arrive, but I can't do that until the day I want it to turn back up is within 7 days.

I really doubt you can program it that flexibly.  We always do this manually, with the phone app.  That is, set the Nest on Eco as we leave, then turn off Eco at an appropriate number of hours before we arrive home.

Hi Ryan and thanks CBFox.  I am aware of the ability to turn Eco on/off from the app, but I have to either remember to turn Eco off, or set a reminder, else I come home to a cold house!  I am now setting a reminder for myself to turn Eco off, but I can suspend my mail and have it start back up on the day I return, so if the USPS can handle a suspension for a specified period of time, you would think this software could as well. 🙂

Do you happen to have other devices connected to your thermostat, like a different mobile phone or other Nest devices that help trigger your thermostat going to eco mode?

I do not have other devices attached.  Let me restate the issue.  I'm leaving for vacation for 10 days.  Using the app on my phone I turn Eco mode on when I leave for vacation.  Ideally when doing that I would set Eco mode to turn off automatically a few hours before I expect to return. That functionality doesn't exist so I have to either remember to turn it off or turn it off when I get home and wait a few hours for the place to heat up.

Thanks for getting back to us and for providing more details of the functionality you'd want to use on your Nest Thermostat.

At the moment, you can set a Home and Away routines as an alternative to the feature you're looking for. This way, you could easily set your thermostat to home and away.
