Scheduled temperature doesn’t turn off - sets to minimum

Hi

I have an early model nest and have started trying to schedule my heating so that it’s 18 when I wake up and 18 just before bed. So I have two time spots scheduled in. However once it reaches the temperature it seems to then default the minimum temperature to just below this and my heating keeps coming on. 17 hours on Thursday my heating was on and I wasn’t here 🥹  I thought I’d set my min temp to 10 in order to avoid it coming on like this but I’m now constantly having to remember to go in after the scheduling and put the minimum temp down. What am I doing wrong?

I can’t seem to find the upload picture option on here but it’s literally

Once at 18 it will then move my minimum temperature to this from 10 and keeps coming on, so I have to manually go in twice a day and move it down to stop the house heating coming on all the time.

• What is the specific model of your Nest thermostat? Here’s a helpful article about how to identify your thermostat model.
• Is the Nest thermostat newly installed?
• Does the inconvenience happen with both heating and cooling, or just heating?
• Have you received any error messages?
• Have there been any recent changes or upgrades to your HVAC system?

In the meantime, I’d suggest the following steps:

• Check the Energy History to see if some features are causing the unusual thermostat activation. For more information, see this article: Thermostat Energy History.
• Check if Eco mode is enabled and disable it. Refer to this article for instructions: Learn about Eco Temperatures and how to change settings.
• Check that the wires are fully inserted into the terminal and the connector buttons are securely pushed down. This ensures proper wire connections.
