Selling home and already reset thermostat. Have no wifi to connect it now? Can

I did a factory reset on the thermostat (looks to be the 4th generation model).  Then I discovered the thread about selling a home and not to reset it.  Well, the damage has been done.  My problem is that now there is the "connect to google home" message on the thermostat and  there is no longer any wifi in the home.  Can this thermostat be set up to be used manually without wifi?  The home is vacant and needs heat while it is being listed.

It is important to note that you can't set up the Nest Learning Thermostat (4th gen) without a WiFi connection. The initial setup process requires an active internet connection for the Google Home app to properly register the device and complete the configuration.
