Shows connected with new gen 4 thermostat. Shows connect when test is run. No temp displayed in the Google Home app

Thank you for reaching out to this community! I understand what's happening with your Nest Temperature Sensor showing a connection to the Nest Learning Thermostat (4th gen) but not displaying the temperature in the Google Home app. For that reason, I'm here to help you.

To provide you with the correct steps, I'd like to ask you a few questions to understand the situation a little better.

  • When was the thermostat and the sensor installed?
  • What generation of Nest Sensor do you have?
  • Could you please send me a photo of how the sensor appears in the Google Home app?
  • Did the temperature previously appear in the Google Home app?
