Hey all.. So I've had my thermostat heat setting set to electric forced air for 4 or 5 months and idk what made me think about it but realized it should have been on gas forced air.. I have a gas furnace and double checked in the attic and did see the yellow gas line running to my furnace.. I changed the setting but my real question is, could I have messed anything up by having the setting wrong? Thank you all in advance!

Hi sicoupe08,
Thanks for reaching out and we're sorry about the delay.
There are few instances that heating is not turning on or activates unexpectedly when the wrong equipment type is selected. But in your case, if you didn't get any error or weird behavior on your HVAC, there should be no problem.
Also, it's a good thing that you've selected the right heat source and type before any issue comes up.
Let us know if you have any other concerns by replying to this thread.
Best regards,
Ryan
