Setting a max temp limit on 3rd Gen thermostat

DaveHoughton1

I see several requests to be able to set a max temperature limit.
The stock reply is always to lock the thermostat ?? That is a completely different action. I do not want to restrict the use of the thermostat. I simply wish to set a maximum limit that users can select.
in the current economic climate, this is a really sensible thing to do, but without locking the system.
please can this feature be added ?

Hi DaveHoughton1,

Thanks for posting and sorry for the delay.

Safety Temperatures are great to help prevent your home from going above or below certain temperatures by turning on heating or cooling when the set limits are reached.

Check this guide on how to set your safety temperature.

Best,

Mel

Hi everyone,

@DaveHoughton1 how's it going with your Nest Thermostat? Were you able to set the maximum temperature limit? In case you have an update, don't hesitate to update us here.

I appreciate your response, Mel.

Thanks,
Emerson

Hi everyone,

@DaveHoughton1 just one quick final check in here since activity has slowed down. We'll be locking the thread in the next 24 hours, but if you still need help, I would be happy to keep it open. If there's more we can do, just let me know.

Best,
Emerson
