Has there been a solution to this established problem with the Nest Learning Thermostat causing the reverse valve to click?

My wiring:
Y, G, C, O/B, W2 (aux), R
I've seen previous threads linked above but no resolution from any of them. How is this problem resolved?

Hello Capsize2929,
Thanks for reaching out to the Google Nest Community Forum.
Power-related issues are one of the main reasons for the odd behavior of the Heat pump's reversing valve. Usually, this happens with incorrect configurations during initial setup, compatibility or with the wiring itself. Could you please give us your thermostat's power readouts in its Technical Info settings? Also, when did you install your Nest Thermostat?
I'll look forward to your response.
Regards,
Mark

Hi, thanks for the follow ups. We swapped the thermostat for another nest thermostat and it is fine now. Not sure what setting could be causing the reverse valve to be clicking like this. If anyone knows, please post it because there are several threads that lead to this unanswered question on this forum.

OK -- I still want to use this problematic thermostat. Here are the technical readings:
Battery: 3.783V (I just plugged it in)
Voc: 34.82V
Vin: 34.82V
lin: 200mA(c)
I tried a factory reset with this device and moved it to an entirely different A/C unit, but the problem persists. I suspect that this nest unit in particular is defective
