Something went wrong with Nest error message

dave_in_TX

When trying to use a Google Assistant ( I have two hubs, a mini and a speaker ) to turn the thermostat on or off I get the "Something went wrong with Nest error message." I can turn the temperature up and down with voice commands but turning it on and off gets the error message.

Any ideas?

Hey dave_in_TX,

Sorry to hear about your experience but thanks for reaching out.

A few questions — were you able to use this same command before on your Google/Nest speakers and displays? If yes, when did this start happening? Also, what exact command are you using?

Please tell me more so I could check on it further.

Best,

Melba

Checking back in — how's it going? Still need our help?

Yes I was able to use the command set the nest to off or on and it worked. After the last Android Update that function stopped working.

The command I was using was:  Hey Google... set the nest to off

Hi dave_in_TX,

Sorry again for the difficulty using voice commands. As it's been a little while since we looked at this and we've seen some app updates recently, I wanted to follow up and see if those updates smoothed things out for you or to see if you were still seeing the same issue. If you're having some trouble still, let me know and I'll be happy to work with you on this.

Thanks,

Jeff

Hi everyone,

Just one quick final check in here since activity has slowed down. We'll be locking the thread in the next 24 hours, but if you still need help, I would be happy to keep it open. If there's more we can do, just let me know.
