I have recently started using my Nest thermostat which was installed by my plumber at the end of spring.
I have set a schedule for the heating to come on and off during the day and switch off at night. The heating is set to come on early morning, reduce after breakfast, increase at mid day, then reduce during the afternoon and increase again early evening, before reducing overnight. The schedule is the same for each day of the week.
I have noticed that from time to time, the schedule is changing, without input from myself. The latest change has added new overnight temperatures for the overnight setting, 1 hr later than I set, but at the same temperature as I set for the overnight period. There has also been an additional temperature added on a single day.
Each time the schedule is spuriously changed, the new times and temperatures differ from the last spurious change.
The spurious changes appear to reliably occur after I have made a manual change to the schedule (e.g to give a boost to the temperature). This is not, however, the only time spurious changes to the schedule occur, they do appear to occur when I have made no manual changes, although it is now 5 days since the Nest schedule was spurously updated but this time I have not corrected it and it as remained the same.
Anyone got any experience of similar issues and any thoughts what I need to do to resolve the problem.
I am not a tech geek.
Thanks Andy
