Bought 2 new Nest Learning Thermostats about a month ago for the distinct purpose of the Sunblock feature on one of them. One of the thermostats is in the direct sunlight and according to the Nest instructions it take a few days for it to learn the patterns of the sun on the thermostat. Sunblock has been turned on in settings and after about a week I noticed the sunblock icon one time on the thermostat that’s in the sun but no other time. The temperature swing can be up to 30 degrees higher on some days. If the unit is working and adjusting, what does it do? Temp in the house is still freezing while the thermostat is reading 90+ degrees. Is there anyone that knows any more about this feature than the limited amount of information Nest gives on this? There is no instruction on what you do, if anything, to the heat setting when the thermostat is in the sun getting higher and higher. I could turn it up to 91 degrees I guess but that’s what I was doing with the Honeywell that it replaced! Thanks for any feedback/help.
