Sorry for the long post, TLDR: can you override “learnt” settings or allow a scheduled temp to activate when mode is off.
Hi just after some help on the learning thermostat. We have the heat scheduled to turn on at 5:30am just to warm the house a little in time for us getting up at 6 (we then turn it off ourselves, as not quite figured out how to schedule a turn off). It took us a week to realise the scheduled doesn’t work/the heat won’t come on at the schedule time if you have the heating switched off so we have been leaving the thermostat set to 9 degrees allowing it to come on. The problem we have is for some reason the thermostat seems to have learnt to turn on to 22 degrees in the middle of the night, which were only noticing when we’re waking up in the night red hot and turning it off in the night, so we’ve had to resort back to leaving it switched off (so schedule not working in the morning). So I guess the question is, can you get scheduling to work when the mode is off OR can we override the “learnt” setting of 22 degrees every night? Our history is now showing 6, sometimes 8 hours a day when all we’ve intended to use is half an hour in the morning so very concerned about energy bills! The entire point of purchasing the nest was to assist in reducing bills so finding this very stressful!

Turn auto-schedule off in the Nest app, and enter the schedule you want in the app. Done.
