Temp sensor overide

• have a Nest E on the main floor of my house but I have a temp. Sensor in the upstairs from the hvac unit. How do I use the nes t temp setter and not . the old one. I do not have two systems

To better understand the situation, I'd like to ask a few questions:

• Do you have a Nest Temperature Sensor (the circular little white device)?
• Is it a sensor made by a different brand?
