I woke up and my house was well under the temperature I set it at the night prior, but I could feel hot air coming from the vents. When I went downstairs, the thermostat said it was heating and now the furnace seems to be heating as normal and is nearly back up to the correct temp. There clearly must have been a period of time while I was asleep where either the furnace was not working properly or the furnace simply couldn't keep up with the historically cold temps. I was hoping to use my nest thermostat to check if it had been heating the entire time and look at the temperature history to see how cold my house got. All instructions I see online say to use google takeout to download your data but it gives me an unreadable jsonl file. I've tried inputting it into multiple readers online, and none give me any legible data. Does anyone have any recommendations for how I can use the data Google is mining from me through my thermostat or is that something only they get to benefit from?

The only data available to try and glean an understanding is the Energy Dashboard. Sadly this only show how much energy used but it can possibly show trends. By trends i mean you see on colder nights you might be using more energy.
