Temperature offset

There are some topics about this here, but all of them are closed for new comments.

As many users reported, my Nest Learning Thermostat is also reading 1.5~2°C higher than it should be.

I added 3 different thermometer next to it and ALL of them are reading 19.5~19.7°C, while Nest Learning Thermostat is reading 21.5°C

CLEARLY this is wrong and don't waste your time answering with links assuming it's correct, because it isn't. Also, I'm not stupid placing it in where there is heating or sunlight.

A feature with an offset temperature could be very helpful.

@Zouf, did you find any solution since your post from 1 year ago?

Yes - I put an offset to my heating and cooling schedules 🙂

All kidding aside, no. I do believe Google has some deals with utilities to encourage energy savings, so I can understand they may be reluctant to let users calibrate the sensors.

This product is very expensive to have a so unrealistic measurement of the temperature. Unbelievable!!

Just a side note: looks like the sensor is probably near to the chipset or whatever, because the difference is much higher when the room temperature is <20°C

When the room temperature is 22°C, the Thermostat is measuring just 0.5°C higher.
