Temperature won’t stay where we set it

We installed a Nest learning thermostat. I’d had one when renting my home and it worked really well. This one constantly thinks we’re not home, even though I turned off eco and home/away assist. The house is regularly 5° warmer than what we set it to. When set to cool, it never sets to reach that temperature. Solutions? How do I get it to stay at the temperature I set it to?

1. Where are you located? From North America or Europe?
2. When was the thermostat installed?
3. Where did you install your thermostat? (in a room and on a wall or stand)
4. Do you have other active Nest Thermostats? If yes: Do they show the same situation?
5. When did the situation start?
6. Have you tried any troubleshooting steps? If yes: Would you mind listing them?

Also, kindly go to Settings > Technical Info > Network and determine the Signal strength value.
