New Nest learning thermostat. I changed my filter on December 12. It is now January 2. I keep getting air filter change reminders and they will not stop. On the Nest app they come every 5-6 minutes. The option to press done is greyed out. All i can do is trash the message. This never happened with my previous first generation thermostat. Normally it was about every three months the reminder would come on. How do i fix this?

Go into your Nest app and change your filter, minder notification.

Thank you, but change it to what?

Go to your thermostat and tap to wake it up, go to settings, rotate the ring until you get to reminders and then select reminders, then you need to go in there and click on RESET and then rotate the ring to select the last month the filter was changed. Probably December

Thank you again, I appreciate your time. I did this before but trying again to see if it changes its behavior

still does it. If i can't find a work around, i"ll just cut it off and use a paper calendar 🤣

If you want to stop the filter, minder all together, go into your nest, thermostat, go into settings, go to minders or reminders, and turn off your filter reminder

Thus far it stopped by itself. But that was not because of any of the fixes I attempted

I wish i could say that it stopped, but it randomly came back and then randomly stopped again. Its absurd

Mine alerts me daily to change the filter which I have done and reset the reminder and it still does it daily. Pretty useless if this continues.

Could not agree more

yes, I gave up and turned off the reminder

Yes still happens. I turned it off. Sucks that it doesn't work correctly.

it has notified me at least 6-8 times over the past two days to change my filter. On the ios app when i click on the "changed it" button nothing happens, so i delete it and it still shows up on the thermostat as wee
