I purchased a used NEST 3rd gen, and connected it, and the first thing it came up with is PIN request.
I've requested the info from the seller, but he says he doesn't know it. I have googled on how to reset it but the methods shown will not work.
Method 1. Reset menu on Thermostat.
Can't get past the PIN input screen, to access the menu.
Method 2. Use your NEST app to reset.
The thet rmostat has NOT yet been attached to my account, and since it is not connected to WiFi I have no way to add it to account.
Method 3. Use Google Home app:
Same problem as Method 2.
So, is there any hope of being able to reset it and get into it, or do I just toss it in the trash..
