Thermostat is Eco-Unfriendly!!

I want to know how to turn off Eco. Eco does not work. It actually ends up costing me more money because it lets my house get too hot then I have to spend more energy to get it back cool or gets my house much too cold and then I literally spend days getting it back up to temperature. How do I shut this useless feature off? The only one benefiting from this feature is the electric company. It has certainly not done a **bleep** thing for me.

did you by chance go into your settings and change the Eco temperatures you want to have set?  in the Eco settings. You can specify what temperature minimum you will let the heater go down to or what temperature cooling. You’ll let the house go up to before the system turns on.   Perhaps your settings are not properly set for your Eco standards.

I did that, but the problem is the lowest it will let me set for my heater is 70. That being the case, when it’s 40 outside and I have it set at 75, for example inside, it goes into Eco mode after a while, and will not turn back on until it gets down to 70. That causes a huge problem because by the time it gets to 70 and And by the time itcomes on, the house temperature is already in the 60s. The system is flawed. I should be able to set a minimum temperature at anything or any level I desire. Not a max of 70 which makes absolutely no sense. When I leave my house, it’s warm when I come home. It’s freezing and literally takes days to get back up to temperature. And that’s with me monitoring it and shut an echo off every time that **bleep** thing comes on. There should be a shut the hell off Eco button.

Your statements contradict yourself.  On one point you complain you cannot set the ECO heat set point higher than 70.  Then complain when it gets cold and has reheat the house.  The point of ECO is to conserve energy.  My ECO is set at 50° and when I am away from the house, the heater will not turn on unless the indoor temperature drops to 50°. When I return home, the ECO is deactivated and my thermostat uses the temperature set point and activates the heat.  If you se the ECO ahead temperature set point to 70° and you are away from the home, it should maintain 70° which frankly is not a very efficient temperature when you’re away.

if you do not want to save energy, it is simple to deactivate the ECO feature and then you just leave the temperature on your dial at say whatever temperature you want and while you’re gone, it’ll keep your house warm and use all the energy that it needs to do that.
