Hello @Drlelou

Thanks for reaching out to the Google Nest Community Forum. I understand that since installing your Nest Learning Thermostat (4th gen), your system is blowing cold air despite being set to heat. I see that your home temperature has dropped from 69° to 63°, even though the target is 70°. I am here to assist you in resolving this issue.

To better identify the solution, could you please answer the following:

  • Do you see an error code on the thermostat display?
  • Could you confirm that the correct fuel type was selected during setup?

In the meantime, please try these troubleshooting steps:

  1. Verify the wiring: Ensure all wires are firmly seated in their terminals.
  2. Adjust Heat Pump Orientation: If you have a heat pump, the "O/B" orientation setting may need to be toggled. You can find detailed steps in this article: Troubleshoot heat pump issues.
