Thermostat is on, but no air (after power interruption)

WiFi and power were interrupted during hurricane and thermostat was offline. I was able to charge it last night and get reconnected today. Now the thermostat shows it’s on, connected to wifi and ac looks like it is running, but no air is coming from vents. It’s a 2nd Gen nest. No problems in years of use. Wires all look connected. Any advice?

Hi Amberdanielle,

Thanks for posting in the Community! Sorry to hear that you experienced a hurricane and that made your Nest Thermostat go offline. No worries, help is here! Please provide me with the following information to get the right troubleshooting:

  • Have you checked for any damaged fuses in your HVAC system?
  • Have you inspected your air filter? A clog in the air filter can limit how much air flows over the cooling coils.
  • Could you please share the power readouts from your Nest Thermostat? You can find these by going to Settings > Technical Info.

Keep me posted.

Regards,
Axel.
