Hi All, For the last 10 days or so my thermostat third gen learning model keeps loosing charge. I've plugged into USB for as many days. I believe it's trying to get an update, as the last one was in November 2021. Tech info reports it is up to date, but I can see other updates have been posted for that devise. That some point something is eating the power over a short time. I've reset it many times and my router. The only thing left is a full factory reset but I'd like to know what is coming wrong.

Hello Paul825,
Thanks for reaching out to our community.
I understand it can be frustrating if your thermostat is consistently losing charge. Don't worry. Let's see what's going on.
Were there any recent power surges or outages near your area? Also, please let me know if your thermostat was recently installed or if you've had your thermostat installed for a while.
Since you've charged the thermostat multiple times and it keeps losing battery charge, the most important thing to check would be the wiring and the power your HVAC system is supplying to the thermostat. You can check the power readouts from your thermostat by opening the quick view menu and selecting settings, then technical info, then power.
Have you spotted any power errors? I suggest you ensure none of the wires on your thermostat are corroded and they're properly seated in the base. Just make sure to turn off your power before handling the wires.
Let me know how it goes,
Regards,
Angel.
