Hey Mark1153,
Thanks for posting and welcome to the Google Nest Community.
If you have one of our Nest Learning Thermostats, you could press the ring to adjust the brightness of it's display. You can select low, medium, high, or auto.
However if you have a Nest Thermostat E, brightness is adjusted automatically. Check this out for more information: https://bit.ly/3J9T7r4

I am still unable to adjust the brightness level after dark. It is too dim to easily see.

Hi Mark1153,
Thanks for the reply and we're sorry to hear that you're still having this issue with the thermostat.
Could you tell us which Nest Thermostat you're using? Have you tried going to the display settings and adjusting the dim?
Regards,
Ryan

Hey Mark1153,
Thanks for the reply here and we're sorry for the delay.
The Nest Thermostat that you're using has a default screen display brightness. The adjust option is only available to the Nest Learning Thermostat.

Ryan
